Students, faculty introduce new clubs to High School
The annual High School club fair took place Sept. 30 in the Farmer Family Gym, showcasing over 70 clubs. Students visited club stands to gather more information about each club鈥檚 mission and goals.
Georgia LaScala (鈥23), the leader of Brushstrokes and Beats, sits at her club stand Sept. 30 with Science Teacher Alpha Toothman, the faculty sponsor.
The club meets to create art while listening to music once every cycle during either lunch or after school. LaScala said she started the club to alleviate stress and help students remove themselves from 鈥渢he crazy competitive environment鈥 of the High School.
鈥淚 think it's a really good way for people to just force themselves to, like, take a deep breath and make some social connections and hang out with their friends,鈥 LaScala said.
