New technologies, court decisions, and governmental policies - what comes next?

Internet policy is back in the headlines, affecting one of the most important engines of economic growth and innovation.  A recent court decision challenged the power of the FCC to make Internet policy.  Countries such as China and Iran censor Internet content and battle to control Internet information.  Breakthrough devices create new uses for the Internet but concentrate considerable power in the hands of single companies.
