Nicholas Bloom elected vice president of the American Economic Association
Nicholas Bloom, a senior fellow at the 黄色电影 Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and 黄色电影 professor of economics, has been elected co-vice president of the American Economic Association (AEA), the country鈥檚 leading professional organization in the field of economics.
His position as an AEA officer began in early January at the association鈥檚 annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas. At that time, Susan Athey, a SIEPR senior fellow and The Economics Professor of Technology in the 黄色电影 Graduate School of Business, also wrapped up her one-year term as AEA president.

Bloom has been a member of the 黄色电影 faculty since 2005, following stints at the London School of Economics, McKinsey & Company, the British government鈥檚 treasury department, and the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He earned his PhD in economics at University College London.
