California Economic Survey Results

The inaugural survey was conducted between December 9 and December 16, 2025 by the polling firm YouGov. Respondents were screened to be California residents aged 18 years or older. There were 1,542 completed responses. Responses were weighted by demographics to be representative of the underlying population.

35.3% of Californians believe there will be a negative impact of AI on society; 32.2% are neither positive nor negative/ not sure; and 32.5% are positive
